1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Know Your Home mobile application, website (knowyourhomeapp.com), and related cloud services provided by Open Mind Services Limited ("we", "us", or "our").
By downloading, installing, or accessing Know Your Home, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not install or use the application.
2. Description of Service
Know Your Home is a home operations and asset management tool that enables homeowners, landlords, tenants, and builders to record properties, catalog appliances and fixtures, store purchase bills and warranty documents, schedule maintenance reminders, view verified brand support contacts, and export inventory reports.
3. User Accounts & Responsibilities
- Account Registration: You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering an account. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
- Authorized Use: You may not use Know Your Home for any unlawful purpose, or to upload copyrighted materials, defamatory documents, or malicious files.
- Landlord & Tenant Sharing: If you invite other individuals (such as family members, tenants, or property co-owners) to access a property, you are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to share the respective asset records and documentation.
4. User Content & Document Ownership
You own all content you upload. You retain complete ownership of all property metadata, photos, invoices, warranty documents, and personal records uploaded to Know Your Home.
By uploading documents to the service, you grant us only the limited license necessary to host, store, back up, and transmit that content to deliver the service to you in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
5. Important Disclaimer Regarding Warranties & Brand Support
No Manufacturer Representation: Know Your Home is an independent inventory and document organizer. Open Mind Services Limited is not a manufacturer, retailer, or warrantor of the appliances or products logged in the app.
Logging an asset in Know Your Home does not create, extend, or validate any manufacturer warranty. Warranty fulfillment remains solely the responsibility of the respective product manufacturer or authorized service provider under their terms.
Verified brand support contacts provided in the app are compiled for informational convenience only. While we verify helpline numbers and links, third-party brands may change support portals without notice.
6. Account Termination & Data Deletion
You may delete your account at any time through the in-app settings (More > Data and Privacy > Delete Account) or by submitting an online deletion request on our Support Portal.
Upon receipt of your deletion request, your account and all associated property records, uploaded bills, photos, and manuals will be permanently purged in accordance with our data retention schedule.
7. Intellectual Property
The Know Your Home application, branding, user interface design, logos, graphics, and underlying source code are the intellectual property of Open Mind Services Limited and protected by copyright, trademark, and trade secret laws.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Open Mind Services Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, missed warranty claim deadlines, or appliance breakdowns arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
9. Modifications to the Service and Terms
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features of Know Your Home, or update these Terms, at any time. Notice of significant changes will be communicated via the app or to your registered email address. Continued use of the service following such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable to Open Mind Services Limited, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
