4. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following legitimate purposes:
- To provide core home operations: recording assets, managing room inventories, and organizing digital documents.
- To calculate warranty expirations, AMC renewal dates, and send proactive maintenance reminders.
- To provide verified brand customer support contact channels (phone, WhatsApp, and web portals) based on the equipment brands you have logged.
- To enable role-scoped collaboration: allowing landlords to assign properties to tenants for shared appliance operating instructions and maintenance ticket reporting.
- To generate printable Home Inventory PDF reports upon your request for insurance claims or property handovers.
- To detect and prevent security abuse, fraudulent logins, or technical failures.
5. Role-Based Privacy & Tenant Data Isolation
Know Your Home features strict role isolation enforced by database-level Row Level Security (RLS):
- Owner / Landlord Privacy: Sensitive financial information such as appliance purchase invoices, property purchase prices, and owner-only private vault documents are strictly inaccessible to assigned tenants.
- Tenant Isolation: Tenants can only view assets and manuals explicitly shared for their assigned property and cannot see any other properties owned by the landlord.
6. Third-Party Service Providers
We partner with vetted infrastructure providers who process data strictly under confidentiality agreements and industry security standards:
- Supabase Inc. (Backend, Database & Storage): Provides secure PostgreSQL database hosting, authentication, and encrypted object storage with Row Level Security. Data is stored in secure data centers adhering to SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 standards.

We do not sell, trade, or share your data with third-party advertising networks, data brokers, or marketing affiliates.

- Encryption in Transit: All communication between the mobile app, website, and servers is encrypted using modern TLS 1.3 encryption.
- Encryption at Rest: All stored documents, photos, and database records are encrypted using AES-256 standards.
- Access Controls: Database policies enforce Row-Level Security (RLS) guaranteeing that queries can only return records belonging to the authenticated account.
